I started Novum because I kept seeing the same thing. Small business owners with something real to offer, something worth finding, and a digital presence that was letting them down. I would find a business at a craft show or a local event, try to look them up later, and hit a broken link, a blank page, or nothing at all.
I also saw what happened when they tried to fix it. Someone would promise to handle it, do the bare minimum or make it worse, and disappear. I know because it happened to me. So I did the work myself, and started connecting the dots between fourteen years of learning how systems work in the automotive industry. Novum exists to give small businesses industry-quality web design, branding, and digital strategy without the industry price tag. Done right. Done honestly. Done by someone who shows up.

Founder, Grateful Builder / Owner, Novum Creative
Jason Fink is the owner of Novum Creative, a boutique web design, branding, and marketing agency in Roanoke, Virginia. Before any of that, he was a chef. Then he spent fourteen years in the automotive industry, working his way from sales consultant to sales manager to finance director for multi-million dollar dealerships, growing their bottom lines year over year. In those same dealership years he also ran marketing for the stores and shot photography for their vehicle inventory.
He grew up in Roanoke and learned to work with his hands first. When his daughter was born, he traded the kitchen for the dealership. Along the way he spent twelve years in Colorado, then came back home, back to the car business, and right into the itch that would become Novum Creative.
Local owners kept asking him for the same thing: industry-quality websites and honest guidance without the industry price tag, explained in plain language. So he built the agency he spent fourteen years learning how to run. Owner to owner. No account managers, no layers, no disappearing acts.
His training includes JM&A Group sales and finance schools, Sherry Fogel finance schools, and P&G sales consulting school. He is finishing his business degree at Virginia Western Community College, and he studies operators like Gary Vaynerchuk, Simon Sinek, and Dan Martell. His rule: if you are not learning, you are dying.

Maren Robinson is Novum Creative's Content & Community Lead. She found her lane through Grateful Builder and running her own business, quickly focusing on content strategy and how each platform really works.
With first-hand experience in events, TikTok lives, and community building, she knows how to make your business work with the platforms instead of against them. She is also the co-founder of the Grateful Builder, where she spent six years building a financial services business in early mornings, lunch breaks, and evenings before going all in full time in March 2026.
Before any of that, she spent more than two decades as a dental hygienist. She knows how to earn trust one person at a time, and she brings that same patience to growing an audience online.
Her belief is simple: you do not need a big budget to earn real attention. You need consistency, heart, and someone willing to show you the way. In the meantime, see what we do or start the conversation.
